Proposed Temporary Road Closure - Christmas Carols Event

Nelson City Council is proposing to temporarily close the below road to ordinary traffic for the dates listed below.

Trafalgar Square – from Trafalgar Square East to Trafalgar Square West (including the intersection with Park Street)

Date and time of scheduled closure: Tuesday 24 December 2024, closed from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

This is for the annual Christmas Carols event.

The road will be closed, and access will be unavailable during this time.
The eBus (Route 1) may be affected by the closure and may operate an alternative route during this time.

To understand how this closure could impact residents/businesses, Council is seeking feedback on this proposal, by Wednesday 7 August 2024.

The decision on whether the road will be closed will be advertised on the Council's website, www.nelson.govt.nz. Residents/ businesses in the affected areas will also be informed via a letterbox drop.
