My principal place of residence is in the Nelson City Council - At Large area.

I want Nelson to be a better place to live, for everyone who calls this city home - young and old, established families and new comers. This means initiatives such as better public transport, reducing congestion, easing our housing crisis and improving facilities so we can be out there enjoying Nelson's climate and surrounds. Phillipa and I have two young sons and I want to see more encouragement for innovative businesses so there are jobs here for our young people. As a businessman and a homeowner I don't want to be paying higher rates, but there is a lot council could achieve by using its funds more wisely. Nelson needs a change in leadership style. With my nine years experience on council, I have the energy and commitment to help bring people together, on the Council and in the community, to make this the best place in New Zealand to live.
