Temporary Road Closure - Cheshire Place

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Cheshire Place – full length

Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 11 November to Friday 15 November 2024 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (Closure will be for one day only – weather dependent)

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Monday 18 November to Friday 29 November 2024 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (Closure will be for one day only – weather dependent)

The closure is for Chip Sealing (resealing the surface of the road).  

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will not be available for a few hours on the day of work. Once the first layer of chip is down resident access will be managed by onsite staff. Delays are likely. No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided. (Fulton Hogan will deliver another letter closer to the time, confirming the exact date of work and other pertinent details).
