DELAYED TO CONTINGENCY DATES

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Nelmac to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Chings Road – full length

Date and time of scheduled closure: Thursday 20 February to Friday 21 February 2025 – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (road will be open overnight)

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Thursday 27 February to Friday 28 February 2025 – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (road will be open overnight)

The closure is for resealing the surface of the road with asphalt.

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available – onsite staff will direct you through the closure during the day, and the road will be open overnight each night. Delays are likely. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
