Temporary Road Closure - Cohen Place

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Cohen Place - at the intersection with Bolt Road (this will affect access to the full length of Cohen Place)

Date and time of scheduled closure: Wednesday 8 January to Thursday 9 January 2025 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Friday 10 January to Friday 31 January 2025 - 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (the intersection will be closed for two days only within this timeframe – weather dependent)

The closure is for chip sealing on Bolt Road (resealing the surface of the road)

There will be a lane closure for chip sealing on Bolt Road – this will mean that vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers, and home help in and out of Cohen Place will be limited for a few hours. Once the first layer of chip is down resident access will be managed by onsite staff. Delays are likely. Rubbish and recycling bin collection will be managed by onsite staff and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
