Temporary Road Closure - Moncrieff Avenue

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Moncrieff Avenue - full length

Date and time of scheduled closure: Wednesday 15 January to Friday 17 January 2025 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Saturday 18 January to Friday 31 January 2025 - 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (the road will be closed for three days only within this timeframe – weather dependent)

The closure is for chip sealing (resealing the surface of the road)

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be limited for a few hours on the day of work, and there may be periods of time when access to your driveway is unavailable.

As work progresses along the road and the first layer of chip is applied, resident access will be managed by onsite staff. Delays are likely. No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided safely.

Please note that Moana Avenue will also be closed for chip sealing during this time and the eBus that runs via Moana Avenue will be detoured for the duration of this closure – please see eBus.nz for further details.
