Temporary Road Closure - Vanguard Street

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Vanguard Street - between no.157 & no.213

Date and time of scheduled closure: Sunday 23 February 2025 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Sunday 2 March 2025 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

The closure is for chip sealing (resealing the surface of the road)

• Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available, but please be prepared for delays. As work progresses along the road and the first layer of chip is applied, resident access will be managed by onsite staff.
• No roadside parking will be available. As the work will take place on a Sunday it will not affect rubbish and recycling bin collection. Pedestrian access will be provided safely.
• Bus stops within the work zone along Vanguard Street will be closed – the eBus will be detoured via Northesk Street – please see eBus.nz for further details.
