Experience a classic Nelson summer evening of music, food, and fun at Tāhuna Summer Sounds! Join us on Friday, 17 January, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the scenic Tāhunanui Beach Reserve for a FREE community event for all ages.

Get ready to enjoy live performances on two stages: the Youth Stage, showcasing the region’s freshest young talent, and the Community Stage, featuring local favorites delivering a mix of upbeat tunes and laid-back melodies. This celebration of summer will feature local food vendors, offering a delicious array of options to satisfy every craving or bring a picnic.

Bring the whole family for an evening filled with activities that will keep the little ones smiling, including face painting and more family-friendly entertainment. Whether you’re soaking up the music, savoring tasty bites, or catching up with friends and whānau, this event promises a warm and relaxed beachside atmosphere.

To support waste minimisation efforts, we encourage everyone to bring their own reusable cutlery and crockery. The dedicated team from Waste No More will be on-site, helping us reduce waste and promote eco-friendly practices. Let’s work together to keep our beautiful beach clean and green!

To make it easy for everyone to attend and reduce our environmental footprint, we encourage carpooling, using public transportation, or cycling to the event. There’s no better way to arrive than by enjoying the coastal breeze on a bike or sharing the ride with friends.
