Cycling courses

Nelson City Council now offers free or subsidised cycle education programmes to improve cycle skills and confidence and support active transport in Nelson.

Adult instruction can be provided to cater to a variety of levels. Easy Street Cycling deliver our adult, women’s and community group cycle education and maintenance programmes. Contact letsgo@ncc.govt.nz for upcoming dates and information.

For school-based cycle education, Ride On is based on NZTA’s BikeReady programme that provides cycle instruction in schools in the Nelson/Tasman region, developing basic riding skills and confidence in our young people.For further information contact Chris Pugh at Sport Tasman Chris.P@sporttasman.org.nz.
